Application method:
Step 1: Detoxify the hair

Before applying the plant-based coloring, take the time to do a detoxifying cleansing treatment to eliminate product residues, impurities and make the plant-based coloring last longer.
Serge d'Estel Detoxifying & Volumizing Cleansing Treatment is ideal for ridding hair of impurities and product residue.

Step 2: Preparation

In a bowl (non-metallic), place 100g of vegetable coloring and pour 300ml of water previously heated in the kettle to obtain a smooth and flexible paste.
For indigo, the water must be heated to 50°C to avoid breaking its effect.

Step 3: Application

Let it cool and use a colorist brush to localize the product at the roots of the hair.
You make successive separations on the top of the head and apply it section by section.
The sections can be more or less wide.

Then, you have the choice between immediately extending the color to the entire hair or leaving it on at the roots.

Step 4: Exposure time

Leave on for the desired intensity.
These highlights vary depending on the application time and the natural color of the hair.
Then spread over all of the hair.

During the exposure time, it is best to stay close to a heat source.
Wear a heating cap or wrap your hair in protective film while the treatment is in progress.

Step 5: Rinse

Once the application time is over, rinse with lukewarm water to remove the product from your hair.
Highlights do not necessarily appear clearly on wet hair, but they do appear as it dries.
Plant-based coloring helps to highlight the shine and quality of hair.

Step 6: Maintain your plant color

Choose a shampoo with an acidic pH to smooth the hair cuticles and optimize the color's hold.

Advice :
Don't forget to wear gloves.
Do not use metal utensils for the preparation and application of vegetable coloring.
Carry out a test patch 48 hours before application behind the ear.
Apply protective cream around your face and ears.
Do not wash your hair immediately after coloring. Wait 48 to 72 hours before shampooing your hair again.
